AEGIS
Platform

One platform, from finding an agent to proving what it did

Discovery finds agents and AI tools without anyone registering them, in your clouds, SaaS apps and on employee laptops. Policy decides before risky actions run, inside your agents and on laptops. Every decision is recorded as evidence.

01 · Discover

Find agents nobody registered

The problem

Agents live in cloud functions, containers, GPU machines, model platforms and SaaS apps. Cloud scanners miss the ones configured inside your CRM or service desk.

What Aegis does

  • AWS, read-only. Lambda, ECS, EC2 (including GPU and AI-chip instances), EKS and Bedrock Agents.
  • Azure, read-only. Functions, AKS, Virtual Machines, and AI Foundry with Azure OpenAI.
  • Google Cloud, read-only. Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, GKE, Compute Engine and Vertex AI Agent Engine.
  • Salesforce Agentforce. Agents, topics and actions, the planner, prompt templates (type only, never text), risky Apex and Flow patterns, LLM credentials, and bring-your-own models. Flags templates that ground on unmasked personal data, and outside services or MCP servers with public egress, weak auth or insecure transport.
  • More SaaS apps. Agents in ServiceNow, Microsoft Copilot Studio and Workday, plus the Slack and Stripe scopes your agents' credentials carry.
  • Hidden LLM wiring. Named Credentials that point at OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Azure OpenAI or Bedrock, even with no agent attached.
  • Your code, if you link it. Committed secrets and unsafe patterns. Aegis stores the rule, file and line, never the secret.
  • Confidence, with the evidence. A 0–100 score. A GPU or a key name alone is "possible," never "confirmed."
  • Risk on seven dimensions. IAM blast radius, network exposure, vulnerabilities, data sensitivity, autonomy, observability gap and model provider. Each point comes with a plain-English reason naming the exact role, port or CVE.
  • An owner for every agent. Every confirmed agent with no owner raises a finding.

Outcome: an inventory you can defend, with owners to assign and risks you can explain to an auditor.

02 · Control

Decide before the tool runs

The problem

A model can be talked into actions nobody intended, and reviewing configuration can't stop a call at runtime.

What Aegis does

  • Four decisions, before the tool runs. Allow, mask, hold for approval, or block. Block always wins.
  • Fails closed. Unknown tool, evaluation error, or unreachable decision service: the call does not run. Open mode exists per tool and is recorded when used.
  • People in the loop. The call waits and the approver sees the parameters. Supports multiple approvers; one rejection denies. Approvers decide in the Aegis console today.
  • Policy you can review. Plain YAML. Author, validate, compile, promote. Versions are immutable, promotion is one switch, and history stays.
  • Stop an agent. Stop one agent's tool calls, or all of them, from the console.
  • Limits per tool. Value ranges, allowed values, calls per second, and approval thresholds in dollars.

Outcome: every consequential action gets a decision before it happens.

One client, then wrap each tool (Python)

from aegis import Aegis, aegis_guard
client = Aegis(api_key="…", auto_instrument=True)

@aegis_guard(client, agent_id="ops-agent",
             tool_name="slack.post_message")
def post_to_slack(channel, text): ...
# a blocked call raises ForbiddenError

A policy, in plain YAML

tools:
- id: crm.issue_refund
  params:
  - field_name: amount
    conditions: [{type: range, range: {min: 1, max: 25000}}]
  limits: {qps: 2, approval_threshold_usd: 5000}
  approval_config: {approve_count: 2}

When policies disagree: block always wins → hold then a person decides → mask fields rewritten → allow only if nothing objected.

03 · Right-size

Allow only what each agent actually does

The problem

Most agent permissions are guesses. Broad access stays because nobody knows what the agent needs.

What Aegis does

  • Granted vs used, per agent. For each AWS agent, Aegis compares the IAM permissions it holds with what CloudTrail and last-accessed data show it used, and flags what is unused or broader than needed.
  • Beyond IAM. The same check covers the tools an agent can call, the Slack, Stripe and Salesforce scopes its credentials carry, and high-impact actions that run with no approval.
  • One change set, three routes. Aegis policy changes take effect on the next call. IAM changes go out as a pull request to your infrastructure code, so Aegis stays read-only in your cloud. Connector scope changes go to their owner as a request.
  • Test before you enforce. Replay a change set against past calls to see what would be denied or held, or run it in shadow mode first.
  • Get a drafted policy. Rate each system low, medium or high, and Aegis turns the rating into controls learned from the calls your agents actually made.

Outcome: least privilege you can defend, drafted from what agents actually do.

Illustrative. You approve the change set; IAM changes ship as a pull request.

04 · Protect

Keep sensitive data out. Keep the proof in.

The problem

Sensitive data can leave through the tool calls agents make, and auditors want to know which control acted.

What Aegis does

  • A rule per data class and destination. Decide what happens when customer, health, financial or secret data heads to Slack, Stripe, Salesforce or your internal APIs: detect only, mask, or block.
  • Inspected in your process. Detection and masking run inside the agent through the SDK. Only the data class, field and count reach Aegis.
  • Redact before anything is recorded. Personal data and secrets are redacted inside your process. For those fields, Aegis keeps the name, not the value.
  • Choose what is captured. None, metadata only, or full. What each mode records →
  • Evidence mapped to AIUC-1. Runtime decisions map to AIUC-1 requirement IDs, each with a written reason and the standard version stamped on the row. Available through the API today; in-app views are next.

Outcome: sensitive values stay where they belong, and audit answers come from records.

Evidence relevant to a requirement, not a certification. AIUC-1 certification is a vendor-side process with accredited auditors.

05 · Employee AI

See and govern the AI your employees use

The problem

Employees use AI apps, browser extensions and coding agents that never went through review, and paste customer data into them.

What Aegis does

  • Finds AI use on laptops. The AI apps, accounts and extensions employees use, such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Copilot.
  • Finds local agents. Coding agents and the MCP servers running on developer laptops, with the access they hold.
  • Blocks or warns. Unapproved AI tools are blocked, or the employee sees a warning before going on.
  • Catches sensitive data. Detects or masks customer, health, financial and secret data pasted or uploaded into AI tools.
  • Managed by IT. A browser extension for Chrome and Edge and an endpoint agent for macOS and Windows.
  • Content stays on the laptop. Detection and masking run on the device. Only metadata reaches Aegis: the app, the user, the action, and the data class and count when a rule fires.

Outcome: one inventory of AI use across agents and people, and sensitive data kept out of unapproved tools.

Who it's for

What each team gets

CISO

The question you get
“What can our agents do, and could we stop one?”
What Aegis gives you
Agents and employee AI use, and their risk, in one view; a decision before high-risk actions in the agents you build; and records you can show the board and auditors.

Outcome: a clear answer with evidence behind it.

Security architect

The gap
Agents add a new trust boundary, the tool call, and none of your controls sit there.
What Aegis gives you
Read-only cloud and SaaS discovery, a managed extension and endpoint agent for laptops, a fail-closed policy check in the agent's tool path, versioned policy you can review, and a separate database per customer.

Outcome: a control point you can review, test and reason about.

GRC and compliance

The ask
“Show us what the agent did and which control stopped it.”
What Aegis gives you
Every decision recorded on the same trace as the tool call, including approver and wait time, and mapped to AIUC-1 requirement IDs with a reason. Evidence exports are role-controlled.

Outcome: evidence, not screenshots.

AI and platform teams

The worry
Security will slow the roadmap.
What Aegis gives you
One SDK and a decorator on each tool, 0.22 ms p99 overhead in the SDK, and policy changes promoted with one switch.

Outcome: ship agents that pass the security review.

By industry

Built for teams that answer to regulators

Financial services, insurance and healthcare run agents that touch money and personal data. Aegis puts a decision and a record on each of those actions.

Payments and banking

Cap refund and payout amounts, lock currencies to allowed values, and require two approvers above a threshold.

Insurance and lending

Hold actions that change a customer record for human review, with the exact parameters in front of the approver.

Healthcare

Mask identifiers such as SSNs, emails and phone numbers before a tool call leaves the agent, and before an employee pastes them into an AI tool.

Need it inside your own network? Aegis also runs as a single-tenant appliance in your environment.

What Aegis does not do yet

We would rather you hear it from us.

  • Runtime control covers the Python agents you build. Agents inside SaaS apps get discovery and risk scoring only.
  • Runtime control is Python only today, with 25 optional auto-instrumentations plus MCP.
  • Discovery covers AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Salesforce, ServiceNow, Microsoft Copilot Studio and Workday, plus employee laptops. Ask us about others.
  • Salesforce discovery reads configuration. It does not see runtime behavior.
  • AWS discovery does not evaluate SCPs or permission boundaries, and does not look inside machines.
  • Approval delivery through Slack, Teams and email is next.
  • In agent code, masking covers tool calls. Prompts your agents send to model providers are not masked today.
